Coronavirus (COVID-19) & Our Operations

We care about the safety and wellbeing of our employees, community, and customers. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread throughout the country, we want to share a few of the actions we are taking to protect everyone’s health and safety. At Eagle Mine, we are closely monitoring the status of the outbreak of COVID-19 and its potential impact on our operations. We are approaching this ongoing situation with an abundance of caution, and following the guidance given by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Lundin Mining. We are taking the following steps: - Increased hygiene and sanitation measures at all our sites, including securing necessary levels of hygiene supplies. - Encouraging sick employees to stay home. - Suspending all non-business-critical travel by employees. - Allowing employees to only attend business-critical off-site meetings and events. - Allowing only business-critical visitors and suppliers onto our sites. Visitors and suppliers must be pre-approved to come to our sites before their arrival. - We are closing our Information Center in Marquette to the general public, with meetings by appointment only. We understand that this ongoing situation is cause for concern to many. We ask for your flexibility and understanding as we take the necessary steps to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19. As this issue continues to unfold, one thing is sure: we will make our decisions with everyone’s health and safety as our top priority.
