Eagle East Producing Ore

We are pleased to announce that the first ore from Eagle East ore body was mined and delivered to the mill on Monday, September 30, 2019, for processing.

This is the result of three years of hard work and dedication by our employees and contractors. We want to thank our workforce and their families for their dedication in making Eagle Mine a safe and successful operation, and a great place to work. We also appreciate the community support and thank the community for allowing us to do business here in the Upper Peninsula.

With the discovery of Eagle East, we have been able to extend Eagle's mine life into 2025. First ore marks the beginning of the transition away from the Eagle East Project to the ramp-up of processing of the Eagle East ore along with the continued processing of the original Eagle ore body.
